The De Soto Women's Liftfoil Speed Trisuit with coldblack is USAT approved and WTC Legal. This speedsuit has no rubberized material, no polyurethane, and no neoprene. It abides to WTC's recent ruling on swimskins, speedskins, and swim apparel. It comes with De Soto's one-piece float pad, so you can swim faster. This unique pad stretches with the short and follows your skin as it moves on the bike and run, eliminating irritation or rashes caused by friction. The pad is a thinner version of the famous 400-Mile Pad used in their bike shorts and bibs. And, this speedsuit is also a trisuit - you can wear it the entire race!

Dark colors heat up faster and stronger when exposed to direct sunlight compared to lighter colors. Now there is coldblack, a special finishing for textiles which reduces heat build-up and provides reliable protection from UV rays. Coldblack reduces absorption of heat rays, resulting in better heat management. With coldblack technology you're guaranteed a minimum UPF 30 protection (blocks 70% of UV rays) without affecting the look or feel of the product.

The Liftfoil has no pockets or lining. It's designed to help you swim faster during non-wetsuit swim events. Hydrolinear seamlines hug your body while allowing for maximum reach and glide in your stroke, with no friction against your skin.

Tests have shown varied improvements of swim times of about 2-4 seconds per 100 meters (depending on the individual) over a conventional swimsuit.
